As you will be aware teachers are taking a full day of strike action on Wednesday 26 April 2023.
DE and EA have advised all schools to conduct an individual risk assessment to determine how they will manage the strike action.
Having conducted the recommended risk assessment we have decided that school will be closed for all students. It will remain open for non-striking members of staff.
As we are being forced to close because of the industrial action, pupils will be marked in the attendance register using an appropriate code that will mean it is not counted as an unauthorised absence.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused to both students and parents.
Please note school will be open as normal on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 April but will be closed again on Monday 1 May for the May Bank Holiday.
