Parent Survey - Use of Mobile Phones in School – September 2024

Recent guidance from the Minister for Education, Northern Ireland stipulates that ‘pupils do not use their mobile phones during the school day’.  St Benedict’s College is therefore consulting with the school community as part of the process of reviewing the college’s Mobile Phone Policy.

The college seeks to implement policies and strategies that best support our pupils, academically and emotionally and will take on board the guidance issued to all schools in that respect.

Research has shown the negative impact mobile phone use can have on young people’s learning, as well as the negative impact phone usage can have on mental health.  We are keen to ascertain our school communities understanding of mobile phone usage in an educational setting.

We would be grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey by clicking on the link, to assist us in this policy review. Please complete the survey by Thursday 3rd October 2024
