The St. Benedict’s senior hurling team; who are eagerly anticipating an Ulster final, were treated to a coaching session from County star Domhnall Nugent.
The St. John’s clubman visited the college and shared a county standard training session which focused on passing, running off the shoulder and strong defending.
Domhnall is well known for his inspirational charity work and we were pleased to offer a small token of appreciation on behalf of the College. Domhnall works closely with mental health charities and has a popular podcast entitled Lets face it.
When speaking to the panel of both senior and junior players he shared his own college experiences and stated that even though he had won at Croke park his experience of playing in a Casement cup final was hard to beat. He delivered inspirational words and encouraged the players to have the hurl in your hands every day; work hard in all aspects of self improvement and have the right attitude.
Thanks to Mr Marron for organising. Great memories for the hurlers.
