At St Benedict’s College we are very aware of the need to build the capacity of parents to help their children when it comes to homework, study and exams. Research clearly shows a positive link between parental engagement and a child’s success at school. It was with this in mind, that we organised the delivery of a Year 11 “Parent Power Workshop” through AMAZING BRAINS. 23 parents attended the practical, activity based workshop held in the school. All were extremely positive in their evaluation of the programme. They left feeling empowered, armed with a range of strategies to help and support their children as they prepare for their forthcoming exams.
