All pupils follow a Religious Education programme from Year 8 to Year 12 (100% of the curriculum). We aim to lead them to a deeper, more alive, active and personal faith.

In the junior School, key areas e.g. the Bible and the Eucharist, are revisited at progressively higher levels of study.

In Years II and 12 our senior school pupils are given the opportunity for more 'in depth' study of their faith and the great majority take Religious Education at G.C.S.E examination level.

In St. Benedict's College, however, Religious Education is more than just a subject; it permeates the whole life of the school. The Catholic ethos is also evident in:

(i) morning prayer at registration
(ii) school assemblies
(iii) the whole school celebration of major liturgical events
(iv) the visits of our school chaplains to junior and senior classes
